In our theory group, we have studied theoretical aspects in neutrino
oscillations from 1998 through
this year. Our current interest lies in
the puzzle why a plenty of antimatter which was present in the early
universe just after the BigBang have disappeared to form our universe
filled with matter but without antimatter. This puzzle may be solved if
neutrino masses, which are theoretically described by real numbers
because they are measured by experiments, are generated by complex
numbers.
Research
My research is aiming at answering a
question of "what a thing is made of?". If we are based on a theory that
at fast, space was a high-temperature and high-pressure fireball (Big
Bang), it follows that all materials "melt." However, "basic constituent
elements (elementary particles)", which remained insoluble as particles,
are considered to make up vast amounts of things ranging from space to
us human beings. At present, such particles known up to the present are
6 types of quarks (triplets each), 6 types of leptons (a kind of
electrons) and boson (a kind of light) which serves as "glue" to make
protons, hydrogen atoms, molecules, proteins, DNA and so on by
collecting such quarks and leptons. In addition to these, we suppose
that there may be new "constituent elements" or that such new
constituent elements may be composed of other types of basic constituent
elements, and formulate various kinds of "scenarios" to investigate into
their theoretical consistency. I have recently conducted research for
theoretically clarifying "the wonders of neutrino." Although matter made
of elementary particles spread in our universe is really "normal"
matter, we can artificially create anti-matter made of anti-elementary
particles inside high-energy particle accelerators. Such anti-matter and
"normal" matter instantaneously disappear when they meets each other.
However, anti-matter is considered to fill everywhere in our universe at
Big Bang, where ultra high temperature universe can copiously produce
"normal" matter and anti-matter so that both are simultaneously present
at that epoch. The question is "Why our universe at present has no
anti-matter?", "Where has it gone?" and "Why and how does "normal"
matter remain as matter in our universe?". To answer these questions, I
have started new research project, where I uses mysterious neutrinos to
create more "normal" matter than anti-matter.
On the basis of
Elementary
Particle Physics, our laboratory studies various properties of "elementary
particles" including quarks and leptons and their hypothetical constituents, preons
or subquarks, which make observed matter ranging from protons and neutrons to the whole
Universe. These elementary particles interact with each other and are bound together
into more complex matter. Also studied are origins and forms of these interactions
and their unification, which enable us to formulate a theory that only one force creates
various different interactions. Currently,
superstrings
are believed to serve as one of the promising theories to unify gravitational interactions
with strong and electroweak interactions.

"Neutrino Oscillations and Their Origin" (2000-2001:Completed)
I was and am also been paying my attention to clarify properties
of neutrinos. My research activity was financially supported by
the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research, Ministry of Education, Science and
Culture, Japan. My research project name was
Neutrino Mass Creation by Radiative Mechanism.
Japanese experimental group called the Kamiokande
collaboration has first confirmed that neutrinos certainly have masses. The
Nishijima
laboratory at our department has performed experiments at Kamioka as a part of
the Komiokande research activities.
Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research
on Priority Areas"Superstring Theory and Dynamics of Field Theory" (2001-2006)
I have been investigating how we understand nonperturbative
physics of strongly coupled supersymmetric gauge theories such as QCD based
on SU(Nc) and those based on SO(Nc). My
research project name is
Nonperturbative Dynamics of Supersymmetric Gauge Theories and its Effects on Quark-Lepton Physics
Contrary to
the current common understanding of the preservation of flavor symmetries, I
have recognized that dynamical breakdown of flavor symmetries is found to
occur as a result of nonperturbative supersymmetric dynamics.

The Microsoft run-time library provides routines for programming for the
Microsoft Windows operating systems. These routines automate many common
programming tasks that are not provided by the C and C++ languages.
The Windows API, informally WinAPI, is
Microsoft's core set of application programming interfaces (APIs)
available in the Microsoft Windows operating systems. The name
Windows API collectively refers to a number of different platform
implementations that are often referred to by their own names (for
example, Win32 API); see the versions section. Almost all Windows
programs interact with the Windows API; on the Windows operating
systems, a small number (such as programs started early in the
Windows startup process) use the Native API..
